Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
