Nigel Farage Accuses Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by telling children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on the UK education system, stating that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike soon after securing a victory,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this negative culture.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would undermine state services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, his comments suggested the group would reform the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with education – truly monumental. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that there are two points of view and you make up your own mind as opposed to current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted through education, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years led to significant interruptions in schools and millions of days of lost learning for children.

During the American gathering, Farage also vowed to promote the online educational material of the institution in the UK. He said organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I mean this. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The college, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. It offers these beautiful courses for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
