Salah Extends Regret to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the group of players following the uproar from his recent interview.

What Happened

The striker was dropped from a European match following making accusations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”

Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.

He also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the situation. He feels the Salah's words were not intended to cause disruption.

“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a place of caring,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and on a positive run.”
